Get amped up for the Current Prints Electrolytic Research Fair! This electrifying special event will showcase all aspects of a safer, innovative printmaking process - electrolytic etching! Learn everything you need to supercharge your practice, at home or in the studio. From how to build your own electro tank, to using specialty non-toxic materials, and even collaborating on large-scale copper etchings, this event will be sure to transform your perception of safer printmaking. The processes exhibited are a culmination of over a decade of study and experimentation, developed with an aim to rival the quality and feel of traditional techniques. Presented by Kansas State University graduate, undergraduate, and alumni research assistants. The research fair will open Wednesday night and be open to visit throughout the conference.
